For the kids❤️🥗

My new eating plan has a ton of veggies. We should be eating like 6 servings or more a day and lay off the fruit! I know – it sounds crazy but fruit has a lot of sugar- HOWEVER it is natural sugar so it is better but still, you dont need a ton of it. It is natures candy. When you need a sweet treat have some fruit.

IT is funny how my little’s think that an apple or grapes is like a treat. Like, when they do something good or want a “snack” they immediately go to the fruit basket hanging in the kitchen right where they can see. I like to have all the healthy foods visible for them, especially at this age. It is so so important to show them NOW. I am happy they ask for apples and pears and bananas instead of garbage. Yes, they have had chips and fries and ice cream- just not often so they don’t really ask about it or think about it. They see the health all around them and that is what they are starting to know- and for this I am proud.

It takes work though. It does. But all things that are worth it in this life take a little work. If it was easy everyone would do it. If it was easy 40 percent of Americans would not be overweight… 1 in 3 children. I am going to help change this. It takes one person. You may not think i cant change it but i can and you who is reading this can and you will tell someone else who can and they will and so on.

Let’s not get to the point where all we can do is treat our health issues with pills- lets try to prevent it first with food.

veggies on the other hand for the kiddos can be a bit of an issues some days. They love peas and corn and broccoli- but they need more than just that so i have to “sneak it in”

This is how i do one of my “alfredo” recipes (idea for this inspired by an idea from my girl Nicole Tyc , who is by the way releasing a recipe book soon!)

The kids ate this like crazy and Kevin too!
